Hello Friends,
The situation is my GC application is ongoing, while I am presently working on EAD(based on husband's application). If I change my job, within the same company, and move from one job family to another(within IT itself), what is the impact to,
a) GC process
b) EAD
I would appreciate any advice.

Please do not create new thred for single question you have..
Also please follow other threds and see if your question is answerd some where.
Yes you can file for 485 even if you have 140 pending.
Since all categories are current as of july 1st, can i file for 485/EAD/AP even if my 140 is still pending. thanks.

Further to one of our more recent posts, it isnt just the economy driving the brain drain associated with the ever-increasing numbers of talented workers opting to leave the U.S. Rather, the unrealistic immigrant visa quotas for employment-based green cards are also to blame as a formidable obstacle contributing to this recent trend. The much-anticipated October visa bulletin issued by the Department of State did little to give new hope to the long line of skilled workers waiting for available immigrant visa numbers. Indeed, with quotas backlogged more than 7 years in the skilled worker category, countless thousands of talented...

With the advent of the new (FY 2011) H-1B filing season quickly approaching (April 1), it is not too early to begin considering an issue that was first thrust upon the H-1B program prior to the start of last years filings the Stimulus Bill signed into law last February 17 which made it more complicated for the big banks and insurance companies that received Troubled Asset Recovery Program ("TARP") funds to hire new foreign workers on H-1B visas. Specifically, Section 1611(b) of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 provides that TARP recipients may not hire new H-1B...

It means nothing. The second 485 was denied since you already have a green card so
Adjustment of Status is not required.
BTW - why did you file two 485's ?

No. You can't port PD from spouse.
You can port your own PD, if you have another EB3 approved.
You can port the country of chargeability, if she was born in another (ROW) country.
My priority date is in 10/2006 under EB3. My wife just start her GC process under EB2. Can my wife port my PD date to her GC application?
Thanks!

HI,
My company is processing my Green card and recently applied my I-140. My wife is applying for residency this year. Most of hospitals are saying that they can sponsor only a J-1 visa. Can you please suggest if this would be a problem for my Green Card processing and/or her visa stamping (Since applying for G.C means that we wants to stay and J-1 means the other way round)?
Thanks,
-Raj.

One of the stumbling blocks in the behind the scenes negotiations to craft a bipartisan immigration reform bill that also has the support of business and labor unions has been a proposal to create a commission that would basically determine quotas for all employment-based immigration categories. The business community and many Republicans have expressed concerns that the commission would be politicized. Labor unions have not been compromising on this issue and that has caused delays in working out a final deal that will allow Senator Schumer to introduce his bill. According to journalist Jeffrey Kaye, however, a compromise may be...

Normally, entering into the US follows the last entry rule. Thus, whatever status a person last enters on is their status.
There are special regulations when it comes to H-1b status and travelling on AP. I would speak with an attorney prior to travelling.
