In a press conference held on Tuesday, Japan captain Makoto Hasebe said "Peru has good players, and Jefferson Farfan is really amazing."

Linkedin Singapore
LinkedIn Corp. established its Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore and plans to set up a Japan office later this year, as the company seeks to grow its regional footprint.
The headquarters will serve as a gateway for regional expansion and support LindkedIn's existing operations in Australia and India, the company's Asia Pacific managing director, Arvind Rajan, said Tuesday. But it was unclear how the company plans to overcome some of the obstacles that have hindered other social-networking services in the region.
The company, which operates professional networking website LinkedIn, went public in the U.S. earlier this month in the biggest Internet IPO since Google Inc.'s debut in 2004, valuing it at $4.25 billion. Its share price more than doubled on the first day of trading, pushing LinkedIn's value up to $8.9 billion and setting the stage for potential debuts from other Internet companies such as Facebook Inc. and Groupon Inc.
LinkedIn, which has more than 100 million members, makes money from online advertising, premium subscriptions and hiring tools for recruiters. The company generated $243 million in revenue in 2010, but it has warned that revenue will slow and it will be unprofitable in 2011 as it invests in technology and international growth.
Asia Pacific accounts for more than 18 million members, and the company already has a "significant presence" in Australia, India and Singapore, Mr. Rajan said.
"According to [research firm] Comscore, from March of last year to March of this year, we grew 130% in [Asia Pacific]...we think that by having a presence here, by expanding our footprint in Asia, we think we'll see continued sustained growth," he said, but declined to give detailed growth targets.
The company currently has about 50 employees in Australia and India, and plans to hire a dozen people initially in Singapore, where they will focus on sales and marketing operations.
Japan is a priority market this year, though Mr. Rajan said the market could pose some obstacles. Japan's professional culture emphasizes modesty and being discreet, which could counter some of LinkedIn's self-promotional appeal. But Mr. Rajan said the company was encouraged by the popularity of Twitter there, especially among professionals.
LinkedIn is also considering expanding into China, where it already has more than one million members. But he didn't address some of the problems that have bedeviled Facebook, Google and others there. LinkedIn isn't blocked by China's Internet censorship efforts.
"We're looking at it carefully, and thinking about whether it makes sense to get into the Chinese market, and if so, how," Mr. Rajan said.

"It is a small matter; don't know why it kept getting escalated [by the media].
"Which couple doesn't fight?" said Patrick Tse, when asked if the statements made by popular Hong Kong radio personality Eileen Cha are true.
Cha had earlier claimed that Nicholas Tse and Cheung are now a couple in name only and are on the brink of separation after fighting for some time.
She further alleged that Cheung had demanded her husband turn over virtually all his assets to her, adding that cracks in their marriage had appeared long before Cheung's widely reported meeting with Hong Kong actor Edison Chen last month.
Patrick Tse expressed that he was furious with Cha for interfering with his family's affairs and said her comments were as irresponsible as they were inaccurate.
"What right does she have to talk about things?
"I will scold her if I see her. After all, these are somebody else's family matters. How can she know when even I don't?" said Tse.
Despite raising the ire of many netizens and Patrick Tse for her comments on Cheung's marriage, Cha maintained that she had done nothing wrong.
"I don't want to comment on this further.
"I only did what I should do from a journalist's standpoint, just reporting the truth," said Cha.
Dallas vs Miami NBA Finals
The NBA Finals will begin this week, and all signs point to it being a great series. The playoffs have been off the charts. We’ve had seven-games series, old teams get eliminated, young players emerge, and great games all around.
The two best players in the post-season by far have been Dirk Nowitzki and LeBron James. When is the last time we have had a Finals that had the two best players meet in the Finals?
In fact, if you were doing a draft before the playoffs started, knowing what we know now, who would you take first?
They both are versatile players, and they both do a lot for their team. If this were Hollywood, we would have two leading men with some interesting supporting players.
The Dallas Mavericks as “The Expendables”
Sylvester Stallone’s movie where he got a bunch of washed-up stars and a few current stars that were never as big as Stallone was, and made a huge hit, is the way I look at the Mavs. Dirk is A-list that has his name above the title. Look at the rest of the team. A bunch of guys that have had varying degrees of success on other teams, but needed each other to have a hit.
Jason Kidd has two Finals appearances, Jason Terry has one, Shawn Marion has had some playoff success, and a bunch of players that have been successful.
Also Dirk kind of sounds like Sly.
Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro starred in the same movie before (“Godfather Part II”), but had never been in the same scene until “Heat.” James and Wade have played together (Olympics), but have not been on the same NBA team. Throw in a third lower-level star in Val Kilmer, and we have Chris Bosh.
Pacino and DeNiro are two of the all-time greatest actors, as Wade and James are two of the all-time greatest NBA players. Also, I wouldn’t be shocked to hear about Bosh going crazy and living on a ranch by himself in 10 years, like Kilmer.
Heat vs. Mavericks Part II
We’ve been here before, in 2006. Some of the leads are the same, but there are a lot of new supporting players. In the first one, the Heat won in six games. The Mavs started out two games to zero. The series moved to Miami, and Dwyane Wade was unleashed.
Anybody that watched that series knows the referees were a little wacky. Wade would walk on the floor and get to the free-throw line. It still eats at Dirk. He hates it. He doesn’t just want a ring, he wants to beat the Heat.
Dirk walked off the floor after the Western Conference series was over. He didn’t want the trophy. He didn’t want to talk to Doris Burke. He wants to beat Miami. Now he has his chance.
LeBron and D Wade are awesome. James has been unstoppable, and Wade has sent Dirk home before. The Heat have nothing inside, and have been beaten before by teams with good point guards.
The Mavericks have a better bench, better inside presence, and better point guard. The Heat’s Wade and James may be greater than all of that by themselves.
Big time stars, great drama and plot twists. We’ll see if it has a Hollywood ending.
Mavericks in six.

No one can match up with Dirk. A seven-footer that can shoot off one leg. In 2006, Udonis Haslem wore him down. In this series, I think we will see LeBron guard Dirk, which will be a great match-up.The Mavericks have a better bench, better inside presence, and better point guard. Japan vs Peru
Author picks 4 units.
Match start at 12:20 hour.
TIP: 1 - WAITING FOR RESULT
Kirin cup match between Japan and Peru. Japan has won this cup 3 times and this year they have brought their top team with all the star players. After a great natural disaster at their country it is a great honor for the players to play for their nation and they will surely be motivated and ready to play as best they can in this cup.
Peru is an average team and for this competition they came without their best players Juan Vargas (Fiorentina), Paolo Guerero (Hamburg) Claudio Pizzaro (Werder Bremen) and Alberto Rodriguez (newly acquired by Sporting Lisabon). Their best player is jefferson Farfan who had some problems with minor injury during this week.
It's expected that stadium will be full of supporters and I expect Japan to start this tournament with a win as they did last year against Chile (4-0) which is a better team then Peru.

Solar Eclipse June 2011
The second partial solar eclipse of 2011 will happen on June 1. The eclipse will not cover India but can be seen from the high latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere.
The eclipse begins at sunrise in Siberia and northern China at about 00:55:18 IST and the maximum eclipse will occur at 02:46:11 IST. Even though the eclipse is a midnight eclipse, it can be viewed from latitudes north and nearby to the south of the Arctic Circle where the Sun is visible for 24 hours during summer months.
Northern most Norway, Sweden and Finland will get to witness the rare phenomenon with an eclipsed Sun hanging above the northern horizon. Other countries that fall in the path of the eclipse include Canada, China, Iceland, Japan and North Korea.
Another celestial spectacle can be witnessed only a couple of weeks later when the first lunar eclipse of the year occurs on June 15. The eclipse is a total lunar eclipse and will be visible from India.
The first solar eclipse of 2011 happened on January 4 and was a sunset eclipse visible from central Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and northwest China.
The next partial solar eclipse will occur on July 1 in the Southern Hemisphere and will be visible a D-shaped region in the Antarctic Ocean south of Africa. Since the July 1 eclipse covers a remote and uninhabited portion of the Earth, it could very well be an eclipse that nobody will see.
The largest partial solar eclipse of 2011 will happen on November 25 and the event will be visible from the southern South Africa, Antarctica, Tasmania and New Zealand.
