While living in Los Angeles California Nino began to volunteer his time to the non-profit organization The Art of Elysium. In 2007 Muñoz paired-up with The Art of Elysium and French Connection to host an exhibit of his photos that went to benefit that charity. A selection of Nino's photographs are currently part of the Beauty CULTure exhibit at the Annenberg Space for photography in Los Angeles, California. The exhibit runs May 21, 2011 to November 27, 2011. In 1999 Muñoz's first professional assignment was shooting a fashion story for British Vogue with Gisele Bündchen. In 2008, Muñoz and Bündchen collaborated to celebrate the 30th anniversary of American Photo magazine. Muñoz has continued to work with Bündchen throughout his career and has photographed some of Hollywood's finest such as, Tom Cruise, Hillary Swank, Leonardo DiCaprio, Julianne Moore, Don Cheadle, Adrien Brody, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Sam Rockwell, Jay-Z, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Daniel Craig, and Jake Gyllenhaal. In the mid 1990's Muñoz moved to New York City to begin his career in photography. In New York he studied under American fashion photographer Bob Richardson, and has photographed stories for many well-known magazines, including InStyle, Harper's Bazaar, Giant, Wallpaper, Jalouse, Numero, Muse, Vogue, Vanity Fair, and The New York Times Magazine.
